About The Position

Cyber Security Engineer IIs design, implement and maintain security systems/services to prevent malicious activity. They serve as a point of escalation for first level engineers. Design and implement projects/services that enhance and improve current security offerings and strategies. Respond to internal and external client requests. Requests include but are not limited to firewall changes, DNS creation/modification, renewing/purchasing SSL certificates, and secure configuration of hosted sites and services. Install and configure firewalls, intrusion preventions systems, web application firewalls, and agents in accordance with current industry standards and best practices to create a secure environment and protect customer data. Proactively mitigate threats through active collaboration with the Cybersecurity Analysts. Perform recurring vulnerability mitigation by upgrading device software to a non-affected version, or modification to the current configuration to remediate vulnerabilities. Complete continuing education requirements to maintain an appropriate understanding of the evolving security landscape. Participate in after-hour on-call rotation. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Three (3) year relevant experience preferred.
  • Accredited university, college or trade school education or training in applicable technology.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Advanced degrees or certifications recommended (e.g., CISSP, etc.).
