About The Position

This role is ideal for individuals who have a passion for information security and are eager to learn and grow in a dynamic cybersecurity environment. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced cybersecurity professionals, gaining valuable hands-on experience in protecting our organization's digital assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field and/or Cybersecurity certificate program.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, principles, and best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of networking protocols and system administration.
  • Exposure to identity access management.
  • Knowledge of system, security, and network monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Exposure to risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
  • Exposure to Linux and/or Windows Operating Systems, coding languages, and/or Networks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Product Owners, Stakeholders, Team Members and Leadership in both written and verbal form.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Practicing, supporting, and promoting Station Casinos “We Win Hearts” Company-wide culture.
  • Carrying out the organization’s information security strategy.
  • Implementing security standards and best practices for the organization.
  • Implementing strategies to respond to and recover from a security breach.
  • Reviewing, triaging, investigating, and responding to security alerts.
  • Enabling correlated dataflows from security signals and tools as required.
  • Participating in vulnerability management and remediation activities.
  • Constantly monitoring the organization’s networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions.
  • Performing trend analyses to reveal gaps in security coverage and locate hidden threats.
  • Performing threat hunting using community and custom indicators of compromise.
  • Operating security tools at a functional level to assist other IT teams and the business.
  • Performing daily system checks to ensure that the security stack is operating as designed.
  • Participating in incident response activities if a breach has occurred to minimize the impact.
  • Participating in access reviews to maintain the principle of least privilege.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of security processes and procedures.
  • Assisting in creating reports on security metrics and key performance indicators.
