About The Position

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will contribute to the Cyber Security Team at Life Time, aiming to achieve a world-class security posture to protect critical assets for the company and its customers. You will be a technical contributor focused on analyzing security alerts and coordinating remediation, with the primary goal of protecting Life Time’s customers, systems, and data from internal and external threats. This role involves building processes and tooling for visibility and response to alerts and vulnerabilities, preventing potential security incidents, and responding quickly and thoroughly if an incident occurs. You will also advocate for the Security team by evangelizing best practices throughout the company. This position requires a hybrid weekly in-office schedule.

Requirements

  • Ability to analyze alerts and data from multiple sources to identify security events
  • Demonstrated ability of analytical expertise, close attention to detail, critical thinking, and logic
  • Understanding of basic Security Concepts (Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Protection, etc.)
  • Ability to research technical challenges and learn quickly to assist security engineers in providing security guidance to other technical teams
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations (IE PCI)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Understanding of one or more security frameworks (OWASP, PCI, NIST, MITRE, etc.)
  • Ability to participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security or equivalent experience
  • 4+ year(s) of experience in a technical role

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and escalate events from security toolsets (Endpoint, IDR, MDR, etc.)
  • Help with processes around Vulnerability Management, Security Posture Assessments, and Alerting
  • Assist Security Engineers with maintaining toolsets as needed
  • Develop and deploy security tooling, policies, automations, and processes
  • Participate in incident response activities as an incident responder, a subject matter expert, and/or a liaison to technology and business teams
  • Contribute to the development of security policies, standards, and playbooks
  • Evangelize security at all levels of the organization
