About The Position

This is a 1-year contract position with an initial 3-month Skillbridge program for transitioning military personnel. Two shifts are available: 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. The role involves monitoring, managing, and interpreting alerts from security information and event management systems to identify threats, establishing best practices, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

Eligible for Skillbridge transitioning out of the military.
Cyber security knowledge.
Networking knowledge.
Active Directory knowledge.
Experience with SIEM and Log Analysis.
Understanding of network security controls.
Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, including command-line interfaces.
Scripting and automation skills.
Incident response capabilities.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and their security configurations.
Knowledge of common attacks, threat feeds, IOCs, and intel.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Wazhu Siem.
Experience with Forescout.
Experience with Proofpoint.
Basic Azure experience.

Responsibilities

Monitoring, managing, and interpreting alerts from security information and event management systems to identify threats.
Establishing Best Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
Understanding network protocols, firewalls, routers, and switches.
Proficiency in Windows and Linux, including command-line interfaces.
Using scripting to automate repetitive tasks and analyze data efficiently.
Ability to triage, contain, and remediate security incidents.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and their security apparatus configurations.
Understanding common attacks and threat feeds, IOCs and intel.
