About The Position

The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for safeguarding Methode’s IT infrastructure by managing and optimizing enterprise security systems, monitoring network activity, and responding to potential threats. This role ensures continuous protection of internal and external environments through vulnerability assessments, incident response, penetration testing coordination, and proactive risk mitigation. The position collaborates closely with vendors, global teams, and internal stakeholders to implement security solutions, track remediation efforts, and maintain compliance with established security standards. Additionally, the role supports documentation, reporting, and project planning for security initiatives while providing technical guidance to staff and maintaining a high level of service in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with direct exposure and use of industry standard security principles and automated technologies
  • Security Certification (examples - CISSP, CCSP, CompTIA Security +)
  • Experience with Palo Alto, Sentinel One, Crowdstrike, Rapid 7, Proofpoint DLP plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Solid background in project coordination and oversight
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as needed
  • Experience working in a global environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-task environment
  • Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
  • Exceptional customer face-forward type service skills
  • Experience in procuring security services and vendor management
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the Systems Administrator for Methode’s security systems
  • Monitors network security to include incident response and escalation
  • Provides risk assessment and remediation recommendations
  • Monitors logs of public facing systems to detect abnormalities and intrusions
  • Runs vulnerability scans across internal and external hosts
  • Coordinates penetration testing
  • Tracks remediation and follow-up of audit and assessment
  • Keeps management informed of threats and vulnerabilities to Methode’s systems
  • Assists with maintaining accurate and current IT security related documentation
  • Provides guidance to lower-level technical staff on how to solve difficult technical issues
  • Develops and maintains operational processes to ensure global security standards are met
  • Demonstrated ability to administer security systems hardware, software and networks
  • Ability to work with vendors in a managed services or hosted environment
  • Creates project plans for upgrades and new implementations
  • Create and present status reports and findings reports
  • Other duties as assigned
