About The Position

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Cyber Security Analyst to support operations in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This is an onsite position focused on securing critical defense systems using Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards. The analyst will work with stakeholders to ensure cybersecurity architecture and controls meet integrity and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related experience.
• CompTIA Security+ CE certification.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Current or active Secret clearance.
• Able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
• Occasionally move around the office to access file cabinets or office machinery, communicate with coworkers, management, and customers, and potentially deliver presentations.

Nice To Haves

• ISC2 Certified in Governance, Risk and Compliance (CGRC).
• ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
• ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Associate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for RMF execution by defining authorization boundaries, categorizing systems, and applying NIST SP 800-53 security control overlays.
• Lead selection and tailoring of security controls, documenting risk-based justifications and decisions in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Contingency Plans, and Incident Response Plans.
• Implement and test security controls using DISA STIGs, SRGs, and ACAS/Nessus vulnerability scans to ensure compliance across assets.
• Independently test security implementations, document findings, and resolve non-compliant controls through the POA&M process.
• Support system authorization by managing RMF accreditation packages and coordinating formal workflow actions for Authorizing Official decisions.
• Execute continuous monitoring, including monthly vulnerability scans and annual security reviews, to maintain an acceptable system risk posture.
