Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 0-2 years of IT or cybersecurity experience
  • Basic understanding of Windows, networking, and common cyber threats
  • CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Active Directory and user account management is a plus
  • Experience In IT Help Desk or Technical Support
  • Security Operations Centers (SOC)
  • Endpoint protection or monitoring tools
  • Vulnerability management or patching
  • Basic networking and system administration

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and triage cybersecurity alerts across client environments
  • Investigate suspicious activity and escalate potential threats
  • Support incident response activities and security investigations
  • Review phishing, spam, and other email security concerns
  • Assist with endpoint security, patching validation, and remediation tracking
  • Document findings and maintain accurate security tickets
  • Follow established security procedures, playbooks, and escalation paths
  • Collaborate with team members during shift handoffs and ongoing investigations
