About The Position

GDIT's Summer Internship Program is a 10-week program designed to provide interns with the opportunity to be part of a collaborative team solving challenging client matters. Interns will work side-by-side with GDIT professionals, collaborate with peers on business challenges, participate in mentoring circles, interact with leaders, and engage in professional development. The Cyber Security Analyst Associate (Intern) will work on innovative projects in areas like software development, data infrastructure, cyber security, networking, and IT support. This role involves ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems for GDIT and its clients. The ideal intern will have knowledge of computer languages and an interest in evaluating information systems security features. They will work with analysts to understand business processes, promote data integrity, develop consulting skills, gather and research data, perform analyses, and contribute to deliverables, gaining deep exposure to cyber security and engineering.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program in cyber security, cyber engineering, or a related field from a United States-based college or university
Understanding of cyber security tools such as Splunk, Qualys, et al.
Application Development skills
Computer Literacy
Time Management

Minimum of one semester remaining in studies after the internship concludes

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of computer languages and their applications to enable a system to perform specific functions
Interest in understanding the principles, methods, and tools for evaluating information systems security features against a set of specified security requirements
Interest in the design, development, and maintenance of cyber defenses
Interest in dashboards, modeling, and reporting for cyber environments
