About The Position

Peraton Labs is seeking a Reverse Engineer to contribute to a team working hands-on with state-of-the-art unmanned aerial system (UAS) electronics and systems. The role involves basic analysis and evaluation of applications in support of the team's work on new technologies, alongside continued professional growth. The position is 100% onsite at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

Requirements

Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
U.S. citizenship.
Two years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or zero years of experience with a master's degree.
Ability to learn and grow as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Passion for solving puzzles and curiosity about how digital systems work.
Experience working in a Linux OS environment.
Basic knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic systems.
Experience with a programming language such as Python, Java, or C/C++.
Proficiency in written and verbal communication, including articulating technical questions and findings to peers.
Understanding of software architecture and software development best practices.
Experience with binary analysis or software reverse engineering.
Experience with tools such as Ghidra, Binary Ninja, IDA, JADX, x64dbg, or GDB.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and security principles.
Familiarity with Android OS, mobile device debugging techniques, and reverse engineering APK files.
Experience with benchtop equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal/power analyzers, and multimeters.
Experience performing micro-soldering.
Experience with unmanned systems such as UAS, UGV, and USV.
Familiarity with the programmatic use of APIs.
Experience working with containers at a technical level.
Experience leveraging interfaces and protocols such as I2C, JTAG, UART, SPI, USB, and Ethernet.
