About The Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Cyber Network Defender (ISSO). This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. Join our team as a Cyber Network Defender (ISSO) for Space, Cyber and Intelligence Systems! You'll be part of a versatile team managing the entire Cyber lifecycle, from governance and policy to accreditation, continuous monitoring, and incident response.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related specialized area or equivalent relevant experience is required, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree.
  • Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire with the ability to obtain a Polygraph within a reasonable amount of time.
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and vulnerability analyses.
  • Familiarity with IT government security standards like ICD 503, NISPOM, NIST, and DIACAP.
  • Ability to provide RMF support and conduct security certification tasks.
  • A minimum of an IAM Level II or IAT Level II/III (DoD 8570/8140.01) certification is required at time of hire.
  • Current or active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required with ability to obtain a Polygraph is required at time of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong experience with utilizing SIEM tools like SPLUNK with creation of SPLUNK dashboards.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Linux and Windows commands and utilities.
  • Expertise in security tools such as SCAP Compliance Checker and Clearswift.
  • In-depth understanding of government IT security policies and directives.
  • Hands-on experience with security accreditation and certification processes.
  • Ability to ensure all security IA service requirements are met.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the Cyber lifecycle, including risk management, vulnerability analysis, and continuous monitoring.
  • Ensuring compliance with government security requirements and DoD policies.
  • Utilizing tools like Splunk, Nessus, and VMware for security monitoring and analysis.
  • Conducting hands-on reviews and maintaining security configurations.
  • Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with all team members and across all teams.
