About The Position

The IT Solutions Analyst – Cybersecurity is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of security operations and engineering capabilities across the organization. This role serves as a technical contributor and analytical resource within the Cyber Team, supporting security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and the engineering of security controls and tooling. The Analyst works closely with the CISO and Cyber Team to identify security gaps, operationalize threat intelligence, and ensure that security solutions align with organizational risk tolerance, compliance requirements, and operational standards.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with security tools (SWG, CASB, ZTNA, Cloud SIEM, EDR/XDR, DLP)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of encryption, authentication, and secure protocols
  • Experience supporting security control testing, or penetration testing activities
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, IT security analysis, or a related security role
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (NIST 800-53, STIGs)
  • Experience with AWS cloud security
  • Basic experience with query languages or scripting (KQL, SPL, SQL, Python)
  • Industry-recognized security certifications (GSEC, Security+, CySA+, SSCP)

Responsibilities

  • Triage and respond to Tier 1 & Tier 2 security incidents and alerts, including initial investigation, containment actions, and escalation in accordance with the incident response process
  • Monitor security event queues, analyze alerts from SIEM and other security tooling, and document findings and resolutions to support shared knowledge and continuous improvement within the Cyber Team
  • Analyze existing security systems, architectures, and data flows to identify vulnerabilities, coverage gaps, or improve detection, response, or operational efficiency
  • Translate business requirements into documentation, detailed functional specifications, process flows, and user stories
  • Assist in developing, executing, and supporting security validation and testing activities
  • Analyze trends in security events, alerts, and incidents to identify emerging threat patterns, detection gaps, or operational improvement opportunities
  • Document system behavior, requirements, test results, and process changes
  • Assist with security incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and post-incident review to drive improvements in detection and response capabilities
  • Ensure security operations and engineering activities align with applicable compliance requirements, security frameworks (NIST 800-53, PCI-DSS) and internal policies and standards
