About The Position

The Cyber Information Assurance Analyst supports the customer by performing analyses to validate security requirements and assessing the systems and networks within the networking environment. Work is performed under some direction and exercises a limited degree of latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Requirements

  • Must possess appropriate level of certifications for this position as required by the contract (IAM/IAT II).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of one to three (3) years of experience in systems security.

Responsibilities

  • Involved in the performance of assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
  • May achieve this through passive evaluations (compliance audits) and/or active evaluations (vulnerability assessments).
  • Involved in the establishment of strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.
  • This may include process support, analysis support, coordination support, security certification test support, security documentation support, investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits.
  • Assists in the implementation of the required government policy and may make recommendations on process tailoring.
  • Involved in the performance of analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommends additional security requirements and safeguards.
  • May support the formal Security Test and Evaluation required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results, and preparation of required reports.
  • Involved in the periodic conduct of a review of each system's audits and monitors corrective actions until all actions are closed.
