To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What you’ll be doing As a Senior Information Security Consultant – Incident Management, together with peer incident managers, you will lead enterprise response to Cyber incidents, engaging partners, establishing workstreams, tracking work items, enterprise reporting to executives, and being a conduit between Information Security and partners in the business and Technology. The role is responsible to lead the enterprise response to cyber incidents, coordinate with key partners, establish and manage workstreams, track work items, provide enterprise-level reporting and serve as a liaison between Information Security and both business and Technology partners. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview. This position is on call 24/7 (rotational) and can be engaged to assist the investigation of incidents at any time.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working in common security threats, industry best practices, security technologies and how they relate to organizational security posture.
  • Ability to produce a variety of business documents that demonstrate command of language, clarity of thought and orderliness of presentation.
  • Ability to design and facilitate a group process, elicit contributions from group members, stimulate a focused group discussion, and achieve a desired outcome.
  • Knowledge in cybercrime and its related implications and impacts on Financial Institution operations and services.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in managing information security incidents including the ability to perform root cause analysis and provide workable recommendations is preferred.
  • Cybersecurity certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead internal and third-party incident and conduct executive and line of business reporting on incidents, incident trends, impacts to business, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance supporting documentation to the incident management process.
  • Manage the Cyber Security Incident Management process, ensure that it is current, work with partners to ensure that all relevant parties are included and aware of changes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with subject matter experts as well as external experts to successfully manage organization-wide cybersecurity incidents.
