About The Position

State Street seeks to recruit a Cybersecurity Fusion Operations Analyst to join a world-class information security team in our Quincy office. We are looking for a detail oriented, team player with an analytical mindset wanting to gain experience and grow cybersecurity skills. Join us in evolving our risk and threat identification capabilities to shape a pro-active threat intelligence driven fusion model to protect State Street, its customers and partners from the ever evolving and sophisticated global threat actors. Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

Requirements

• Understanding of current security threats and other challenges, as well as frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK
• Ability to follow processes and contribute to continuous improvement
• Ability to develop reports and articulate both in person and in-writing findings and recommendations
• Experience with common enterprise security tools such as; SIEM (Splunk), EDR (CrowdStrike, CarbonBlack, or Tanium), Vulnerability Management (Qualys, Tenable, or Rapid7)
• Experience with cloud security tools/platforms such as; AWS or Azure and common enterprise SaaS application
• Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities
• Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk)
• Knowledge of IT architecture and operations (computing, network, storage & cloud)
• Comfort working with data — strong Excel skills, with experience in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) or scripting for data analysis (Python, SQL) a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Computer Science
• +2 years in a cybersecurity skilled role – Security Operations, Vulnerability Management, Threat Hunting, Cyber Threat Intelligence. and Offensive Security are considered a plus
• In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, any combination of education and/or relevant cybersecurity experience will be considered
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Nice To Haves

• Financial Services experience a plus
• Technical security certifications a plus (CISSP, Security+)

Responsibilities

• Support the design and coordination of State Street's cyber tabletop exercise (TTX) program, developing threat-intelligence-driven scenarios and working with incident response, threat intelligence and business stakeholders
• Support the facilitation and delivery of exercises, producing after-action reports and tracking lessons learned to closure
• Participate in internal, enterprise-wide and industry-led exercises, capturing observations and feeding improvements back into playbooks, training and technical solutions
• Collect, validate and analyze operational security metrics, identifying trends, outliers and data quality issues across multiple source systems
• Build and maintain recurring reporting and dashboards, translating data into clear findings and recommendations for technical and senior non-technical audiences
• Support automation of metric collection and reporting to improve accuracy, timeliness and repeatability
• Create and maintain documentation such as standard operating procedures, runbooks, playbooks and the knowledge base
• Contribute to the team's service catalog, documenting services, owners, processes and the metrics each service is measured against
• Support cross-functional task forces stood up to address systemic gaps and drive tactical initiatives to completion
• Provide support in response to cyber threats/risks associated with findings by State Street Global Cybersecurity Fusion teams (Cyber Threat Intelligence, Advanced Threat, and Data Loss Prevention/Data Protection)
• Work with other analysts to review the categorization and prioritization of security reports and best-practice recommendations, based on trends with State Street cyber security risks
