About The Position

As a cybersecurity engineer, you can become an integral part of our team responsible for developing and implementing effective cybersecurity strategies and solutions to enable a vital national security system to operate in compliance with the Department of Defense and other requisite security requirements. We need your experience to join a team of cybersecurity-focused professionals responsible for securing a vital analytics platform and facilitating its continuous, uninterrupted operation to transport and disseminate data globally to enable mission critical support to warfighters. Our team is seeking a highly skilled, experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team supporting an enterprise-level program management office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and develop and implement security solutions in alignment with the Department of Defense security strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical role employing DevOps or DevSecOps concepts, including provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and Infrastructure-as-Code in a DevOps and continuous delivery environment, using automated deployment and testing frameworks
  • Experience in cybersecurity analysis, incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, or security operations
  • Experience with security AWS cloud computing services, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), IAM roles, policies, and permission boundaries, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and common log sources such as VPC Flow Logs, S3 access logs, DNS logs, GuardDuty, Security Hub CPSM, Inspector, and Config
  • Experience managing or deploying solutions utilizing AWS cloud computing infrastructure services such as EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, EKS, RDS, and Route 53
  • Experience programming with languages such as Python, reviewing vulnerability documentation, and developing courses of action to remediate findings
  • Experience with cybersecurity solution involvement such as writing secure code, OWASP, or application penetration testing or remediation
  • Experience using version control systems such as Git or Mercurial, and CI/CD to deploy containerized software applications and tools
  • Ability to develop scripts, automate workflows, and integrate cloud services such as AWS CLI
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization process to manage and administer an authority to operate (ATO) to maintain compliance with DoD, NIST, RMF, and other requirements
  • Experience with containerized orchestration and management using Kubernetes
  • Experience using SIEM tools or programmatic integration with SIEM tools
  • Experience with vulnerability management, incident response, and threat detection
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code via Terraform
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments such as STIGs, FedRAMP, or DoD environments
  • Ability to conduct on-site security assessments and work cross-functionally with various teams
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Security+, CISSP, CASP, or GCED Certification
