Cyber Engineer Associate
About The Position
SAIC is seeking an entry-level Cyber Engineer to join a long-standing program in its Air Force, Space and Intelligence Business Group. The role offers the opportunity to develop practical skills and experience operating, maintaining, and securing a complex virtualized system while working alongside experienced professionals. The Cyber Engineer Associate helps maintain, administer, engineer, architect, develop, patch, and upgrade toolsets, devices, applications, and systems used for cybersecurity and cyberspace operations. The role also supports continuous monitoring, end users and developers, cybersecurity metrics, secure software development, compliance, and help desk operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 0 years of related experience.
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must have an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain the required polygraph.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Linux operating systems.
- AWS cloud experience.
- Scripting and/or programming experience.
- Service desk experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, administer, engineer, architect, develop, patch, and upgrade toolsets, devices, applications, and systems used for cybersecurity and cyberspace operations.
- Assist with maintaining and validating systems and performing continuous monitoring.
- Support end users and developers.
- Support the development, maintenance, and reporting of cybersecurity and/or cyberspace operations metrics.
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug cybersecurity and/or cyberspace operations application software using secure coding practices.
- Ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Provide help desk support as needed.
