About The Position

Aperio Global is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Defense Operations Planner to support activities in Colorado Springs. In this role, you will support space and cyberspace operations in, from, and through space to deter conflict, and if necessary, defeat aggression, deliver space combat power for the Joint/Combined force, and defend U.S. vital interests with allies and partners. You will also address today's cyber threats by defending, protecting, designing and deploying game-changing cyber planning, operations and capabilities in support of USSPACECOM's Unified Campaign Plan, Cyberspace Operations Plans, Task Orders, and CCDR mission priorities and operational directives.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 10+ years of experience with a Masters degree
  • Must be able to understand and differentiate between critical and non-critical systems and networks, and capabilities that allow organizations to defend better, react faster, coordinate rapidly, prioritize efforts, and respond smarter to security events, increased risks, and/or operational directives.
  • Experience in the concepts, terms, processes, policy and implementation of information security.
  • Must have experience and knowledge of the latest cyber security measures.
  • Must have the ability to solve complex problems involving a wide variety of information systems.
  • Must meet DoD 8570.01-M / 8140 requirements for IAT Level III or IAM Level III, depending on assigned duties. Qualifying certifications include CISSP, CASP+ (SecurityX), CISM, GSLC, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to DCO planning, DCO operations, cyber tool development operations, cyber capabilities and requirements.
  • Provide support to full spectrum Joint, Coalition, Inter-agency, Allies and Industry space and cyberspace planning activities.
  • Conduct mission system research and analysis, evaluate cyber technical reports with specific emphasis on network and cyber operations tactics, techniques, and procedures focused on the threat to networked space and cyberspace platforms and US and DoD information networks.
  • Analyze network events to determine the impact on current operations.
  • Develop and maintain analytical procedures to meet changing requirements and ensure maximum operations.
  • Mission areas for planner assistance include, but are not limited to, development of campaign plans, deliberate planning, crisis management, and time sensitive planning in accordance with the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES).
  • Work under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity.
