About The Position

Chronos Operations, LLC is seeking a Cyber Defense Fusion Analyst with a strong background in cybersecurity for the Army Materiel Command (AMC) G-6, Chief Information Office (CIO). This role is responsible for performing threat analysis, correlating threat data, and delivering Risk to Mission Assessments leveraging the Army’s suite of modernized AI-driven data platforms, such as Gabriel Nimbus, MADSS, and Palantir’s Foundry Suite of Tools (Vantage).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Computer Science, or a Cybersecurity-related field
  • 5+ years of experience collecting, analyzing, and disseminating defensive cyber threat data in support of cybersecurity operations.
  • 3+ years of experience in cyber threat analysis, or related defensive cyber disciplines.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting federal cybersecurity initiatives, preferably within DoD or Army environments.
  • Familiarity with cyber threat platforms, frameworks, and defensive analysis methodologies.
  • Experience with cybersecurity monitoring, threat analysis, and security information platforms.
  • Must have DoD 8140 IAT Level II-compliant certification (such as CompTIA Security+, CASP+, etc).
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
  • Knowledge of Title 10 U.S. Code on Intelligence Activities in accordance with DoD and Army policy.
  • Security Operation Center (SOC) experience, whether in Network Defense, Vulnerability Management, or Logistical Operations functions
  • Knowledge of U.S. Army operations, Army acronyms, Army Jargon, Army Materiel Command operations, familiarity with Major Supporting Commands
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex cyber threat and security data for defensive purposes.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and adversary behaviors relevant to network defense.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief senior government and corporate leadership on cyber risk.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cybersecurity, engineering, and operational teams.
  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills and sound judgment in mission-critical environments.
  • Knowledgeable on Vulnerability Management concepts and tools, such as ACAS/Tenable, endpoint security (Trelix/ESS/HBSS), CVEs, IAVMs, STIGs
  • IT System support experience in Windows or RHEL support/administration, network engineering knowledge at the CCNA-level, or scripting development
  • Familiar with Zero Trust Initiatives
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet and maintain clearance requirements.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • Master’s degree in Computer or Cyber-related field
  • 8+ years of experience collecting, analyzing, and disseminating defensive cyber threat data in support of cybersecurity operations.
  • 5+ years of experience in cyber threat analysis, or related defensive cyber disciplines.
  • ISSO RMF, Cyber terrain mapping, and Threat Modeling Experience
  • Data visualization, development, and user experience with Power BI, Kibana, Tableau, Vantage (Foundry), or Gaberiel Nimbus (Ionic and Apache Superset)
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform defensive cyber threat analysis by reviewing technical indicators, vulnerabilities, and attack patterns affecting Army networks, systems, and missions.
  • Correlate defensive cyber threat data from authorized cybersecurity sources to support Risk-to-Mission Assessments and operational decision-making.
  • Assess and quantify cyber risks using approved scoring methodologies to Army information systems, operational technologies, and mission-critical environments in support of network defense and mission assurance.
  • Integrate and visualize defensive cyber risk and threat analysis data through dashboards focusing on system impact, Risk-to-Mission, and communicating recommended cybersecurity mitigations.
  • Support cybersecurity incident response activities, including technical analysis, root-cause assessment, and post-incident reporting.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, risk management, and engineering personnel to ensure defensive controls and protections remain effective.
  • Assist in the development of defensive cyber procedures, playbooks, and risk mitigation approaches aligned with Army and DoD policy.
  • Deliver cyber threat awareness, mitigation, and defensive readiness briefings focused on improving cybersecurity posture and mission resilience to end-user and senior leadership audiences.
  • Perform other assigned duties within Title 10 authorities and defensive cyber mission scope.
