About The Position

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a highly reliable and detail-oriented temporary Cyber Compliance Assistant to support our cybersecurity and compliance functions throughout the summer. This fully remote position requires someone who can work independently with minimal supervision and communicate professionally with employees across the organization--both working in-office and remotely.

Requirements

• Enrollment in accredited Alabama university
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organization skills
• Ability to work independently and produce high-quality work with minimal supervision
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to meeting deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with personnel
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and follow established processes

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining and organizing cybersecurity compliance documentation.
• Support evidence collection for ongoing audits and assessments.
• Track progress on compliance remediation items and provide timely status updates.
• Review internal policies and procedures for accuracy and alignment with standards.
• Perform data entry, quality checks, and file clean-up in compliance platforms or shared repositories.
• Collaborate effectively with cybersecurity, IT, and business staff across multiple locations and working arrangements.
• Handle sensitive information with discretion and adhere to organizational confidentiality requirements.
