About The Position

The Cyber Automation Engineer will be responsible for key contributions in developing Threat Defense Solutions, focusing on detection, automation, and development of artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. This role involves working with in-house teams to identify the right mix of tools, techniques, and procedures to translate customer needs and future goals into secure and effective solutions. The engineer will take a critical approach to solution design, identifying gaps, providing alternatives, and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and business needs. The primary goal is to create technical solutions that identify security threats, enhance detection capabilities, and drive improvement in response efforts.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience supporting DoD or government agencies
  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, or resolving automation issues using Ansible or PowerShell
  • Knowledge of Agile development
  • Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, version control systems such as Git, operating systems such as RHEL and Windows, and virtualization, including VMware
  • Ability to travel to CONUS or OCONUS locations up to 25% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC)
  • Experience with application containerization
  • Experience with modeling network configuration in JSON and YAML
  • Experience with network automation in Python and Ansible
  • Knowledge of networking principles and concepts
  • Knowledge of API design and object-oriented principles
