About The Position

Applied Network Solutions (ANS) is seeking a Protocol Analyst (Cyber Analyst) to join its team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The role involves applying signals analysis experience, including protocol analysis, to support ANS’s technical work. Relevant areas include communication signals, network troubleshooting, network traffic characterization, and network security analysis.

Requirements

An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
Relevant experience must be in signals analysis, including protocol analysis.
A bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, a master's degree plus 6 years, or a doctoral degree plus 4 years is required.
A high school diploma or GED plus 12 years of relevant experience, or an associate's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience, may be considered for candidates who completed military training course 4521 (Intermediate Signals Analysis) or 452 (Advanced Signals Analysis), or participated in or graduated from the Military COMINT Signals Analysis Program (MCSAP).
The degree must be in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, a Physical Science, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

Experience related to communication signals, network troubleshooting, network traffic characterization, and/or network security analysis.
Preferred military training includes 451/461 (Intermediate Signals Analysis), 452 (Advanced Signals Analysis), and the Military COMINT Signals Analysis Program (MCSAP). The posting notes that candidates are not required to have every training and certification course.
