About The Position

LMI is seeking a Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Subject Matter Expert to provide Strategic Plans and Policy Support Services (SPPSS) to the Headquarters, Department of the Air Force (DAF) A10 office in counterproliferation and CWMD mission areas. The role requires competency in working with US Air Force headquarter-level senior leaders and staff, attention to detail, critical thinking, and excellent communication and coordination skills. This position requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and is an onsite role at the client's location in Arlington, VA, and Washington, DC. The growing threat of WMD, specifically chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) weapons, is a significant challenge to Department of the Air Force (DAF) core mission operations. The DAF is tasked with developing and institutionalizing required CWMD capabilities to ensure the success of air, space, and cyber operational missions. Requirements

  • Master's degree in STEM
  • At least 10 years of experience in working in DoW CBRN defense and/or counterproliferation programs.
  • Active Top Secret / SCI
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in working at Department of Air Force headquarters level is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive analytical, operational, and policy support for the Department of Air Force (DAF) CWMD and Biodefense enterprises.
  • Supports in developing and institutionalizing DOTMLPF-P solutions that enable mission success in a CBRN-contested environment.
  • Assists in codifying strategy, analyzing threats, defining requirements, and preparing materials for DAF representation in key national and international forums.
  • Leads a team that provides CWMD Policy Support; CWMD Enterprise Governance Support; CWMD Strategy, Plans, Policy, Operations, Doctrine, and CONOPS support; CWMD Technical Analysis support; and CWMD and BioDefense Air Force and Joint Education and Interaction improvement support; CWMD support to MAJCOMs and Other Agencies; and CBRN Technical Analysis support to US Air Force Europe and Air Force Africa.
