About The Position

The CVOR Assistant Manager oversees the operations of the five primary Cardiovascular Operating Rooms (CVORs) at Lankenau Medical Center, both clinically and administratively. This role is accountable for providing leadership to the CVOR staff (approx. 15 FTEs) in the maintenance of professional nursing practice, provision of quality patient care, and a culture of safety. The CVOR Assistant Manager accepts responsibility for assigned areas under the direction of the Vice President of Cardiovascular Services and System Director of Peri-Op services. This role demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to be accountable for patient care activities and the development of staff in a fiscally sound manner. The CVOR Assistant Manager works collaboratively with other departments to ensure quality patient care and satisfaction. The CVOR Assistant Manager leads in accordance with professional practice standards as set forth by the American Nurses Association, PA Nurse Practice Act, regulatory standards, and MLH policies and procedures.

Requirements

Prior Manager, supervisor, charge, coordinator, or other related leadership experience required.
Recent CVOR nurse (scrubbing or circulating) experience required.
BSN required
BLS required
ACLS required

Nice To Haves

MSN or other related Masters Degree preferred.
Certification in specialty area desired
CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse) preferred
NE-BC (Nurse Executive) preferred

Responsibilities
