About The Position

This role supports the cardiac anesthesiologist with anesthesia administration and monitoring, requiring extensive knowledge of cardiac anesthesia techniques, instruments, supplies, and technology. The technician will assist with invasive and non-invasive monitoring, advanced line preparation and placement, and provide equipment testing, calibration, troubleshooting, cleaning, and disinfecting. They will also assist the entire cardiac surgery team throughout the operative continuum.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• One (1) year of experience as a CVOR Anesthesia Technician.
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Anesthesia Technologist (ASATT)
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Assists the cardiac anesthesiologist with administration and monitoring of anesthesia.
• Supports anesthesiologists and mid-levels with invasive and non-invasive monitoring, advanced line preparation and placement.
• Provides equipment testing, calibration, trouble shooting, cleaning and disinfecting.
• Assists all members of the cardiac surgery team throughout the operative continuum.
