YWCA Northeast Kansas is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. We provide transformative services in the areas of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking, Community Violence Interruption, before- and after-school programming, and leadership and inclusion initiatives. This is a Part-Time, Non-Exempt position with a work schedule of approximately 24 hours per week, typically three, eight-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. The schedule will be determined through mutual agreement between the employee and supervisor. The Outreach Worker engages with individuals at the highest risk of perpetrating violence and those who are most likely to be victimized in Topeka. The Outreach Worker accepts internal referrals from outreach staff and works collaboratively with participants who are living in the chaos of violence to reduce their risk and increase safety for them and their families. The Outreach Worker coordinates service provision with community partners to help address participants' identified goals and needs while managing an assigned caseload appropriate to the position's part-time schedule.
