Requirements
- Read / use precision gauges and tools
- Perform shop math
- Read/follow written instructions
- Use computer for simple tasks
- Maintain orderly and clean work area
- Verify calibration of measuring devices
- Participate in maintaining ISO certification
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up extruder and equipment for cable production.
- Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal functionality.
- Load and unload compound boxes/crates on to compound stands.
- Ensure the correct material strips is being fed to minimize tangling and production errors.
- Continuously monitor the operator screen for specs and tolerances to ensure adherence to production specifications.
- Make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Inspect cables for consistency and defects as they are coming out of the extruder.
- Coordinate with quality assurance teams to address any issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any hazards or incidents to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, equipment status, and any maintenance performed.
- Submit reports as required by management.
- Quickly and effectively troubleshoot any operational issues that arise, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous production.
