Requirements

Experience in lieu of successful completion of an Allied Health postsecondary education program that is patientcare related
Successful completion of an Allied Health postsecondary education program that is patientcare related OR equivalent experience
ARRT-R (Radiography) OR LP (Licensed Paramedic)
BLS (Basic Life Support) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).

Cardiovascular/Interventional experience.

Responsibilities

Performs vascular procedures independent of supervision of technical quality, assist in completion of reports of various reports, development policy and procedures, charge sheets, patient requisition in a timely manner; transport patients; maintain universal precaution; administration of contrast material according to order, selection of equipment, and assisting physicians as needed.
The Cardiovascular/Interventional Technologist performs vascular procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
Performs a variety of highly specialized cardiac, vascular, or interventional procedures that require independent judgment to apply prescribed techniques to obtain the best possible diagnostic and therapeutic results.
This position requires age related competencies.
The Cardiovascular Technologists assumes responsibility for interpreting diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the Heart Cath Lab in order that data be obtained and entered into the CCSS database.
Performs all other job duties as assigned.
Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.
