About The Position

The Cutting Operator runs various machines in the cutting department to a level that meets or exceeds department expectations for quality, safety, and productivity. KDM is a full-service print and point-of-purchase (POP) display company, partnering with brands and retailers to design, produce, and deliver custom in-store marketing solutions. From concept through production and fulfillment, we help our clients bring their brands to life at retail.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required.
Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
Basic math skills.
Basic PC skills.
Ability to operate cutting equipment safely and accurately.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.

Nice To Haves

Cutting machine operating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operating all equipment in the area of responsibility, including: drill press, panel saw, table saw, radial arm saw, heat bender, die cutter, I-cut, guillotine cutter, sheeter, router, scoring table, drill table, and slitter.
Completing pre- and post-cuts on material within tolerance levels.
Reading job tickets thoroughly and interpreting job task requirements before starting.
Cutting each piece of material within QC requirements.
Inspecting each piece for Quality Control.
Performing and completing all tasks assigned in a timely manner.
Maintaining a safe and clean working area at all times.
Storing all materials in a manner that promotes cleanliness and organization.
Using supplies in a cost-effective manner.
Adhering to all productivity, SOP, safety, 6S, and PPE requirements.
Performing and completing all other work duties as assigned, including assisting in other departments as needed.
