2ns Shift Cutter
About The Position
The Cutting Operator runs various machines in the cutting department to a level that meets or exceeds department expectations. This position is primarily, yet not exclusively responsible and accountable for the following: Having operational knowledge of all equipment in the area of responsibility to include drill press, panel saw, table saw, radial arm saw, heat bender, die cutter, I cut, guillotine cutter, sheeter, router, scoring table, drill table and slitter. Completing pre and post cuts on material within tolerance level Reading job tickets thoroughly and interpreting before starting the job task, and understand the job task Cutting each piece of material within QC requirements Inspecting each piece for Quality Control Performing and completing all tasks assigned in a timely manner Maintaining a safe and clean working area at all times Storing all materials in a manner that promotes cleanliness Using supplies in a cost-effective manner Adhering to all productivity, SOP’s, safety, 6S and PPE requirements Performing and completing all other work duties assigned to include assisting in other departments as needed Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to communicate both in written and verbal formats
- Basic Math Skills
- Basic PC Skills
- Cutting or machine operating experience preferred
