About The Position
The Cutter’s primary function is to cut and groove pipe to print in the Fabrication Shop. This position is represented by the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union #219. The role requires the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, multitasked environment with a focus on detail and accuracy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing shop.
- Experience with basic computer systems.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, multitasked environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Review pipe requirements for job areas.
- Call in pipe from the yard.
- Cut pipe to length and groove or thread it.
- Read blueprints and sketches and handle pipe accordingly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
