About The Position

Work with a team of individuals to build wind turbine blades out of fiberglass and additional materials in one of the 5 production areas. The specific area for this role is Cut and Trim, which involves grinding, scuffing, and applying fiberglass and chemicals. The company is contributing to a new era of reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
• Ability to read work instructions
• Basic math skills
• Ability to operate basic hand tools
• Ability to operate power tools
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Successful completion of a drug screen

Responsibilities

• Lay fiberglass and other materials in wind turbine shell moulds
• Repair and prepare wind turbine shells and glue them together
• Grind, scuff and apply fiber glass and chemicals
• Paint, matte, and sand blades
• Apply all mounting equipment and customer specifications
• Maintain safety as a top priority
• Respect one another and work together as a team
• Keep quality in mind while striving to create zero-defects during every blade build
• Maintain a positive and open mind
• Contribute to continuous improvement to make jobs even better
