About The Position

This role involves performing cut and grind tasks, following specific work instructions, and adhering to all health and safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and chemicals. The technician will be responsible for tasks such as scuffing laminate surfaces, removing excess material from blade edges, applying glue to fill voids, and performing repairs within confined spaces inside the blade.

Requirements

Ability to lift of carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs.
Ability to push/pull heavy objects.
Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
Ability to work with hands for an extended period.
Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Requires wearing of respirator.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma/GED or related experience
Previous Manufacturing experience
Previous experience working with wind turbine blades or composite

Responsibilities

Perform cut and grind tasks following work instructions
Wear all personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety instructions regarding chemical usage
Scuff laminate surface, cut off any extra flange and dried glass along the edge of the blade
Apply glue to any area with glue voids
Perform repairs to defects inside the blade (confined space)
