About The Position
The Customs Import Specialist is responsible for processing shipment releases for our clients in a timely and efficient manner and requires an advanced understanding of the release process, including pre and post release. This position must be able to effectively communicate with customs representatives as well as clients, carriers and vendors of GHY eBiz in a professional manner.
Requirements
- Completion of grade 12 Education
- Completion of CCS Designation
- ~5 years related industry experience
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities
- Prioritize shipments by ETA for submission to customs both CBP and CBSA
- Completion of Carrier eManifest
- Engage in carrier, vendor and client communication via telephone and email
- Monitor alerts RMD Corrections
- Ensure elogs and audit trails support actions
- Assigned appropriate tariff classification to goods
- Assign the PGA data to the database for the goods
- Monitor entries for CADEX
- Analyze/fix rejects
- Other duties as required
