About The Position

LOGISTEED-America is seeking a Customs Entry Writer to join their mission of delivering high-quality transportation and logistics services. The successful candidate will have knowledge of international import transportation, excellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and produce accurate workflow in a fast-paced, high-pressure freight forwarding operations environment. This role requires a detail-oriented, reliable, and goal-oriented individual with strong customer relations and communication skills.

Requirements

At least 1 year of brokerage experience
Used CargoWise
Worked in clearing customs
Knowledge of international import transportation
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to multi-task
Ability to produce accurate workflow in a fast-paced, high-pressure freight forwarding operations environment
Ethical with sound business judgement

Knowledge of ISF filing
Proficient in Microsoft applications
Fluency in English
Must pass criminal background check
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex data
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

Perform tasks safely

Communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
Investigate and plan the most appropriate route for a shipment, taking into account the nature of the goods, cost, transit time and security
Obtain, check and/or prepare all transportation documentation to meet Customs and insurance requirements, packing specifications, and compliance with local and international regulations
Liaise with third parties to move goods (by road, rail, air or sea) in accordance with customer requirements
Coordinate US Customs Brokerage to guide the freight efficiently through complex procedures import procedures
Work closely with customers, colleagues and third parties to ensure smooth operations to deadlines
Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations and other factors that could affect the movement of freight
Perform other duties as assigned
