About The Position

LOGISTEED-America is seeking a Customs Entry Writer to join their mission of delivering high-quality transportation and logistics services. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of international import transportation, excellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and produce accurate workflow in a fast-paced, high-pressure freight forwarding operations environment. This role requires ethical conduct, sound business judgment, a passion for helping team members, strong customer relations, attention to detail, reliability, and goal-orientation. The position involves investigating and planning shipment routes, preparing transportation documentation for customs and insurance requirements, liaising with third parties for goods movement, coordinating US Customs Brokerage for efficient import procedures, and working closely with customers, colleagues, and third parties to meet deadlines. Maintaining current knowledge of relevant legislation and factors affecting freight movement is also essential.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of brokerage experience
  • Used CargoWise
  • Worked in clearing customs
  • Knowledge of international import transportation

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain, check and/or prepare all transportation documentation to meet Customs and insurance requirements, packing specifications, and compliance with local and international regulations
  • Liaise with third parties to move goods (by road, rail, air or sea) in accordance with customer requirements
  • Coordinate US Customs Brokerage to guide the freight efficiently through complex procedures import procedures
  • Work closely with customers, colleagues and third parties to ensure smooth operations to deadlines
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations and other factors that could affect the movement of freight
  • Perform other duties as assigned
