About The Position
LOGISTEED-America is seeking a Customs Entry Writer to join their mission of delivering high-quality transportation and logistics services. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of international import transportation, excellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and produce accurate workflow in a fast-paced, high-pressure freight forwarding operations environment. This role requires strong customer relations, attention to detail, and the ability to positively contribute to the team's success.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of brokerage experience
- Used CargoWise
- Worked in clearing customs
- Knowledge of international import transportation
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to produce accurate workflow in a fast-paced, high-pressure freight forwarding operations environment
- Ethical with sound business judgement

- Knowledge of Cargowise software
- Knowledge of ISF filing
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- Fluency in English
- Must pass criminal background check
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex data
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities
- Perform tasks safely
- Ensure area housekeeping requirements are met
- Abide by all OSHA rules and LOGISTEED America, Inc. safety practices
- Meet established procedures and productivity, safety and quality standards
- Meet attendance & punctuality standards
- Communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
- Investigate and plan the most appropriate route for a shipment, taking into account the nature of the goods, cost, transit time and security
- Obtain, check and/or prepare all transportation documentation to meet Customs and insurance requirements, packing specifications, and compliance with local and international regulations
- Liaise with third parties to move goods (by road, rail, air or sea) in accordance with customer requirements
- Coordinate US Customs Brokerage to guide the freight efficiently through complex procedures import procedures
- Work closely with customers, colleagues and third parties to ensure smooth operations to deadlines
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations and other factors that could affect the movement of freight
- Perform other duties as assigned
