The Operations Supervisor - Customs Brokerage is responsible for supervising the import personnel of the department. This position manages workflow to ensure maximum productivity is reached within all teams. Requirements

Minimum 5 years relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity
Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Responsibilities

Develops plans based on customer specifications
Provides rate quotes to clients
Reviews processes and implements new procedures
Assists teams in resolving Customs and carrier issues
Maintains positive customer relationships
Prepares and monitors various Customs compliance and broker management reports
Trains, coaches, and supervises team members
Manages Post Entry reviews and performs audits
Utilizes understanding of the proper processes to resolve problems according to industry standards
Monitors AP/AR discrepancies and addresses accounting issues
Addresses disciplinary and performance issues and complaints as needed
