Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
  • Proven experience in customs brokerage operations
  • FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) experience required
  • Strong knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification, and import/export procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in brokerage software systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong leadership and accountability
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on compliance and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily customs brokerage operations, including entry processing and compliance activities
  • Ensure all customs entries are accurate, timely, and compliant with CBP and other government regulations
  • Manage, train, and supervise brokerage staff, including workflow coordination and performance monitoring
  • Review and approve customs documentation, HTS classifications, and duty calculations
  • Maintain FTZ compliance, including inventory control and required reporting
  • Serve as the primary contact for CBP, clients, and internal departments regarding brokerage matters
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update procedures as needed
  • Conduct internal audits and implement corrective actions when necessary
  • Coordinate with warehouse, transportation, and operations teams to ensure smooth cargo flow
  • Resolve complex customs entry issues and client inquiries efficiently
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide high-level customer service
