About The Position

The Au Bon Pain Customer Service Specialist performs a variety of duties including food preparation, cashiering, providing customer service, processing GET orders, stocking and cleaning while following all Au Bon Pain and food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • effectively write and communicate in English
  • basic math skills
  • exert well paced mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours
  • ability to lift equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds in weight
  • walk, bend, stoop, and use finger dexterity for periods up to 4 hours at a time
  • stand for up to four (4) hours at a time
  • visibly differentiate colors, for the purposes of food safety
  • work when exposed to wet floors, temperature extremes and loud noise
  • work independently with the appropriate amount of supervision
  • currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Nice To Haves

  • One year in a food preparation position
  • Experience in a high volume a la carte operation and proven customer service skills
  • Successful cash register experience
  • Experience with MICROS registers
  • Working knowledge of standard commercial kitchen equipment
  • Current managerial ServSafe certification
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor
  • Experience working with students and a diverse multi cultural staff
  • Successful experience assisting customers
