About The Position

Boeing Distribution, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Customer Support Supply Chain Manager to join their Order Fulfillment team. This role is responsible for leading a team that manages order fulfillment, order management, and ensures the Distribution Services supply chain value stream meets customer commitments globally. The position involves managing team performance through KPIs and customer satisfaction metrics, and requires significant operational interaction with customers regarding order management and recoveries, as well as with internal Supply Chain teams (Planning, Procurement, Distribution, Warehousing) and external customers to optimize supply chain performance. Minimal travel may be required for customer engagements.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or format manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • 10 + years of experience in customer support for aerospace or other complex industry.
  • Experience managing complex customer programs.
  • Ability to tailor messages to internal and external customers and across multiple levels of the customer’s organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient knowledge in all Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) applications.
  • Must meet export control compliance requirements; a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Business Administration or Engineering or Related Field of Study or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience or team lead experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experienced in managing a team, leading people.
  • Knowledge of techniques to help identify a customer’s organization, capabilities, practices, support resources, preferences, problems, and other constraints to provide effective product support and technical issue resolution.
  • Skills and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
  • Knowledge of Boeing’s organizations, processes, program plans, policies and procedures, and products required to effectively perform functional responsibilities of the occupation.

  • Ensuring the Distribution Services supply chain value stream is executing and fulfilling customer commitments globally.
  • Managing team performance via Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Interfacing with customers on order management & recoveries.
  • Collaborating with Supply Chain functional teams (Planning, Procurement, Distribution, Warehousing) and customers to enable optimized supply chain value stream performance.
