Customer Support Specialist
About The Position
Uniflex of America LLC, a growing European manufacturer of machinery for the hydraulic hose assembly industry, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Support Specialist to join our team in Schaumburg, Illinois. This position is ideal for an individual who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while coordinating with customers and multiple departments. The Customer Support Specialist is responsible for reviewing and processing customer purchase orders, monitoring open orders, maintaining accurate order information, and helping ensure orders move efficiently from receipt through fulfillment. The successful candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. This role requires regular interaction with customers, Sales, Shipping, and other internal departments to ensure orders are processed accurately and customers receive timely information regarding their orders.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in order processing, customer service, administrative support, or a similar office environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other departments.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Ability to learn and effectively use company software and order-processing systems.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience reviewing and processing customer purchase orders.
- Experience working with an ERP or order-management system.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting/business software.
- Experience coordinating with Sales, Shipping, Accounting, and/or customers regarding order fulfillment.
- Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial equipment environment.
Responsibilities
- Review customer purchase orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Verify pricing, quantities, payment terms, billing and shipping information, and other order details.
- Monitor open customer orders and follow up on outstanding items.
- Monitor supplier orders and expected delivery dates.
- Provide customers and the Sales team with order status and expected ship-date updates.
- Maintain accurate customer, order, part, and pricing information within company systems.
- Coordinate with Sales, Shipping, Accounting, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Communicate with customers regarding order questions, changes, availability, and other order-related matters.
- Maintain organized and accurate documentation and records.
- Assist with resolving order discrepancies or issues as they arise.
- Perform other order processing and administrative duties as assigned.
