About The Position

Truck Centers, Inc. is seeking a Customer Support Manager to join their team in Morton, IL. This role serves as the primary link between dealership teams and customer accounts, aiming to grow the business through relationship building within a designated territory. The position involves regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm) but may require after-hours and weekend availability for customer calls.

Requirements

  • A valid Driver’s License and ability to meet insurance requirements.
  • A minimum of 5 years in mechanical or dealer service management.
  • Solid understanding of Service department operations.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Proficiency with tablets, computers, and MS Office software.
  • A typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including some overnight trips.
  • Must be willing to participate in a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Class B or Class A CDL with an air brake endorsement.
  • Freightliner dealership experience.
  • CIC Level I or II certifications.
  • Experience with Procede software.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and monitor assigned customer accounts to identify trends, changes, and dormant accounts, reporting findings to management.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with new and existing customers to expand market reach.
  • Visit customers bi-weekly or monthly to strengthen relationships, address potential issues, and ensure a high-quality experience.
  • Address customers’ technical, service, and general inquiries related to their equipment, performance, or service needs.
  • Collaborate with customers and other DTNA dealer groups to facilitate timely repairs, even for issues outside TCI's immediate area, and help customers find quality repair options.
  • Explain warranty coverage and act as a liaison between customers and manufacturers regarding policy considerations or new warranty procedures.
