Customer Supply Chain Support
About The Position
Working as a full-time Customer Supply Chain Support employee, you will perform a variety of activities to support the customer's supply chain and improve the performance of the onsite business. This entry-level role provides a foundation in customer relationship management and operations. A flexible schedule may be available after onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. Fastenal is a distributor of industrial and construction supplies that has grown from one branch to more than 3,000 servicing locations since 1967. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old due to the nature of the work.
- Possess or be working toward a degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management, or have equivalent industry experience and knowledge of the local market.
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Have proficient computer skills.
- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
- Be highly motivated, self-directed, and customer-service oriented.
- Be comfortable in a sales-oriented environment.
- Demonstrate the company's core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
- Be able to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages typically weighing 25–50 pounds and sometimes up to 75 pounds.
- Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam only).

- Possess a current, full, valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located, including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program, and meet the driving record requirements to use a company vehicle as needed.

Responsibilities
- Respond to customer requests and coordinate resources to address them.
- Manage inventory.
- Place and fulfill orders.
- Receive and ship inventory.
- Execute inventory fulfillment within the customer facility.
- Source and quote new and existing products.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and implement new business processes.
- Monetize and report the value of supply chain management activities to the customer.
