About The Position

Renterra is a Series A–backed SaaS company modernizing the $100B+ equipment rental industry. We’re building the operating system for rental businesses, and accounting is a critical part of that equation and our offering. This role sits at the intersection of customers, sales, and product, helping ensure our customers’ accounting workflows are set up correctly and that our product continues to make sense from a real-world accounting perspective.

Requirements

  • Active CPA required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field)
  • Deep experience with QuickBooks Online and Desktop
  • Strong understanding of SMB accounting workflows (e.g. year-end)
  • Comfortable working directly with customers and explaining accounting concepts clearly
  • Must be Chicago-based and work in-office in a hybrid capacity

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with rental, construction, or asset-heavy businesses is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting-focused onboarding and ongoing support for Renterra customers
  • Answer complex accounting questions related to QuickBooks Online, Desktop, and other accounting softwares
  • Support accounting-related tickets, emails, and customer meetings
  • Join high-impact sales calls with prospects, bookkeepers, and accountants
  • Advise on best practices for rental-industry accounting workflows
  • Partner with product and engineering to review and shape accounting-related features
