About The Position

We are looking for a Customer Success Manager to join our sales team with a focus on customer renewals at the NCAA Division I level. In this role, you will work with schools and conferences across the United States, directly engaging with basketball coaches, athletic directors, and commissioners within your territory, while collaborating with one Account Executive in the territory. Customer Success Managers are responsible for a portfolio of clients, ensuring they receive maximum benefit from their subscription while generating a high ROI for the company. The primary focus is on engagement activities that drive renewals for the following year.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a client-facing role, preferably in a technology company.
  • Experience working with basketball coaches at the NCAA DI and/or professional sports level.
  • Experience with Hudl products.
  • Mastery of Hudl’s Pro Suite for basketball.
  • Product and workflow expertise, understanding the 'why' behind an elite basketball workflow.
  • Ability to drive Hudl’s value across multiple departments within an elite organization.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders, including handling difficult conversations.
  • Effective time management skills to balance responsibilities such as business reviews, product issue support, workflow advising, and identifying expansion opportunities.
  • A growth mindset, with a desire for continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Sales experience, either as an Account Executive or CSM.
  • Cross-functional experience, with the ability to collaborate efficiently with internal stakeholders in customer support, product, and operations.
  • Coaching and/or athletics background.
  • Solution-oriented approach, with the ability to diagnose problems and find creative and effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong customer relationships to maximize satisfaction and become a trusted partner.
  • Be involved in all aspects of support and account management, including product demonstrations, customer education, and various engagement and commercial activities.
  • Work towards achieving quarterly and yearly revenue and engagement targets.
  • Run meetings to understand client needs and identify opportunities for upselling additional services.
  • Collaborate with one Account Executive in the territory.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring maximum benefit and high ROI.
  • Focus on engagement activities that lead to renewals.
