About The Position

The City is looking for employees who are committed to public service and possess a willingness to be challenged. The Utility Department is currently recruiting for "Customer Service Technician ".

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
• TCEQ Class C distribution desired or should be obtained within 2 years of employment.
• TCEQ Class II wastewater collection license desired or should be obtained within 4 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Works with the crew to repair and maintain the City's water and sewer system.
• Responsible for field assessment.
• Occasional service connects and disconnects.
• Minor valve and manhole maintenance.
• Cleaning and televising sewer lines.
• Recommends methods for correcting problems that are the property owner's responsibility.
