About The Position

This role is responsible for resolving all customer needs via phone, chat, and/or email. This includes handling order placement, pricing inquiries, returns, order expediting, order tracking, delivery quotes, shipping schedules, and providing general product information. The position also involves managing website correspondence messages, investigating and resolving problems related to mis-shipments or shortages, and initiating the returns process. Training in data entry is required. The team member must be capable of covering for other Customer Service Representatives and Order Entry personnel, and assisting throughout the East Coast Call Center.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all customer contact regarding order placement, price and delivery quotations, shipping schedules, and general product information.
  • Follow up with customers.
  • Look up part numbers in application guides on the computer.
  • Monitor expedite orders and follow up on shipments.
  • Serve as the main customer interface.
  • Manage website correspondence messages.
  • Investigate and resolve problems regarding mis-shipments or shortages.
  • Initiate the returns process.
  • Perform data entry.
  • Fill in for other Customer Service Representatives and Order Entry personnel.
  • Assist throughout the East Coast Call Center.
