Requirements

  • Ability to prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions, weighing customer satisfaction issues with Bank exposure to loss or fraud
  • Knowledge of all bank deposit products and policies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of various federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Gramm-Leach-Biley Act, Regulation E and teller roles and responsibilities relating to each act

Responsibilities

  • Processing new account transactions
  • Assisting customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services
  • Cross-selling the Bank's products and services
  • Maintaining and closing of all account types
  • Providing customers in reception area and over the phone with a variety of account-related service assistance
  • Performing location clerical duties
  • Promoting business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services
