About The Position

The Customer Service Specialist makes an impact by - Perform all responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative position, including customer communications, data entry, order processing, and inventory management. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designated departmental processes, systems, and procedures, providing guidance and support to team members. Investigate and resolve escalated or second-level order and delivery issues for all Direct Store Delivery (DSD) accounts. Audit, reconcile, and verify product movement and inventory transactions to ensure accurate deliveries, inventory records, and customer billing. Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Act as a resource for training and onboarding team members on departmental processes and systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, improve workflows, and support business objectives. Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and FSMA guidelines as well as all safety regulations. Comply with Safe Quality Foods (SQF) food safety and quality standards. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in customer service, a call center environment, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple systems and applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an advanced customer service role, or demonstrated progression of responsibilities and scope within prior positions, preferred.
