Together, we’re shaping the future of food — one plate, one person, and One Fine Family at a time We are currently hiring for: Customer Service Specialist – Retail Position Summary The Customer Service Specialist for Retail is responsible for supporting retail customer accounts while serving as a critical link between Sales, Production, and Warehouse teams. This role manages order processing, customer communication, and portal/EDI activities to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with both external customers and internal cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, order entry, or sales support (food industry a plus)
  • Experience with EDI systems, order management platforms, or customer portals preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, and background screen.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for retail customers
  • Respond to inquiries related to orders, delivery timing, and product availability
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through timely and professional communication
  • Provide support for customer-facing interactions as needed
  • Process customer orders accurately through internal systems and EDI platforms
  • Manage customer portals, including order uploads, confirmations, and updates
  • Monitor order flow to ensure alignment with production and warehouse schedules
  • Identify and resolve order discrepancies or system issues
  • Act as the communication link between Sales, Production, and Warehouse teams
  • Confirm order readiness and coordinate timing of fulfillment
  • Communicate any changes, delays, or issues impacting order fulfillment
  • Support internal teams with visibility into customer demand and priorities
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, customer notes, and communications
  • Assist in improving order processing workflows and efficiencies
  • Support reporting as needed related to order volume, service levels, or issues
